Jim Karygiannis is a Member of Parliament with Canada’s opposition Liberal Party, and he’s been to numerous countries Russia, Somalia, Libya and Armenia as an election observer.
This past weekend he was in Venezuela on the invitation of the Venezuelan diaspora in Canada to observe the presidential election.
He watched the high voter turnout, noticed some “glitches” in the polling stations he visited, and noted the military presence in some of them.
RCI’s Wojtek Gwiazda talked to Jim Karygiannis on Wednesday afternoon about his mission to Venezuela, and his determination to observe elections in different countries.
