“12 freezing but oh so hot nights”
On this ninth annual edition, Igloofest has grown to 4 weekends and a total of ‘ “12 freezing but oh so hot nights” as the website describes it.

One of the most popular events is the nightly “Iglooswag Contest”. This evolved out of the snowsuits and cold weather-wear that people donned in the early years to keep the cold at bay. Now it’s become and outrageous fashion statement, more like a winter Hallowe’en experience. Each night a winner is chosen, and on the final weekend at the beginning of February. the ultimate winner gets a trip down south.
